Health Services and Relief Association (HeSRA), Nepal is a relief and humanitarian based organization, established in 1994 A.D with registration in Nepal Government. Since the establishment, we have been serving the underprivileged, poor, helpless and needy community and its people by different emergency relief campaigns and also with health services programs. HeSRA Nepal strives to work especially to the helpless, poor, orphans, widows, destitute, disabled and underprivileged people regardless of the race, religion, social status, gender, ethnicity, cast, nationality and geographical location. We are also providing free checkups and medicines through PPHF (Poor Patient Helping Fund) since the beginning. HeSRA Nepal is contributing the disadvantaged and marginalized public by establishing our own 50 bed capacity hospital (Bhutaha General Hospital & Maternity Clinic), established in 1996 A.D. (registered by Government of Nepal) which is located at Bhutaha V.D.C of Sunsari district, eastern Nepal. HeSRA Nepal wants to work specially for the marginalized communities and deprived families of Nepal to upgrade their educational, health and social status.

We have also been contributing in quick relief camps with distribution of relief materials and arranging rehabilitation and shelters during the disasters like flooding, fire incidents, Landslides, epidemics, famine, earthquakes and other calamities. We are always eager in serving the underprivileged communities by providing better drinking water supply, arranging health camps, providing emergency hygienic kits and making hygienic toilets to poor people in rural and under developed areas. We are involved in developmental works like making houses, providing zinc sheets and materials for maintenance for needy, helpless and the people affected by disasters. During the massive earthquake of 7.8 in Nepal, HeSRA Nepal very actively participated in different relief and humanitarian campaigns sharing hands with different national and international organizations.

HeSRA Nepal is working in different festival food packages distribution programs such as Iftaar party, providing Iftaar food packets to the poor families and distributing Fitra to the helpless and needy Muslim people during Ramadan and Eid-Ul-Fitr festivals. HeSRA Nepal is sharing its hands in Qurbani projects during Eid-Ul-Adha in the remote hilly region and in the plain terai areas where one of the marginalized communities Muslims reside.

Organize and empower community people and groups, enable local people have access and control over all resources, capacitate and knowledge building to local people and transfer skill and resource, and access them to information.

  • To organize health camps like eye care, maternity care, dental care, general check-ups etc.
  • To donate medicine, Medical equipment and other hospital materials to strengthen and expand the services of governmental and community hospitals of the country.

  • To provide quick relief response by arranging campaigns with distribution of relief materials like food packets, medicines, hygienic kits etc. during the disasters and calamities like earthquake, flooding, landslides, fire destruction, famine and severe weather conditions.

  • To give supporting hands to the government for construction of school and hospital buildings; drinking water supply project; house for disaster affected families.

HeSRA mainly focuses the economically backward families of Nepal. We reach out for deprived families residing in different rural areas and equally prioritize Muslim families residing in the capital as well as in distance places.

The following are the key achievements of HeSRA Nepal:

  • Constructed temporary shelters for earthquake victim families.
  • Constructed permanent houses for financially poor earthquake victim families.
  • Assisting of orphan students through Orphan Support project and Scholarship Program.
  • Supported governmental hospitals through donation of medicines, hydraulic beds, wheelchairs, crutches, auto claves, and other hospital equipments.
  • Hygienic kit distribution for helping maternal mothers to maintain proper sanitation during and after pregnancy.
  • Micro finance project has been supporting the economically poor families to start up their own business and stand on their own feet.
